"This Job Came Through Our New Website": How FH Roofing Wins Work Online

By EA Profit Improvements · · 5 min read

Foster runs FH Roofing, a roofing company based in King's Lynn. Recently he recorded a short video for us from the top of a job: "This job behind me came through via our new website, which was made by EA Profit Improvements." It's a few seconds long, but it says exactly what a website is for. Not to look nice. To bring in work.

The goal

For a trade business like FH Roofing, the goal is simple: a steady flow of enquiries from people in the areas you cover, without having to chase them. That means two things: a website that turns visitors into enquiries, and a way of putting your work in front of local homeowners.

What we built

We built FH Roofing a new website and set up Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad campaigns around it. Every website we build follows the same principles:

  • Fast and mobile-first, because most people looking for a roofer are on their phone.
  • Local SEO set up from day one, so the site is built to be found for searches in the areas he covers.
  • Linked to his Google Business Profile, so his website and Google listing work together.
  • Enquiry forms that go straight to him, so no enquiry gets lost.

For the ads, we went out on site and filmed Foster's work from the roof, and built the campaign around real jobs rather than stock images.

The results

FH Roofing reported a 10x return on ad spend in their first month. Two months in, we've added five figures to his monthly revenue. And jobs are coming in through the website, like the one Foster is stood on in the video above.

In his own words: "you boys have gone above and beyond".

Why it worked

  1. The ads and the website work together. An ad gets someone's attention; the website is what convinces them. When people click through to a site that loads quickly, shows real work and makes it easy to get in touch, far more of them enquire.
  2. Real work, real people. Homeowners want to see who's turning up. Filming Foster on his own jobs builds trust that stock photos never will.
  3. Local focus. Ads were targeted at the areas FH Roofing actually covers, and the website is built around local searches, so enquiries come from people he can realistically quote for.
  4. Making it easy to enquire. Clear calls to action, a short enquiry form and click-to-call on mobile. Every extra step loses people.
  5. Measuring what matters. We track enquiries, not just clicks, and move budget towards whatever brings in jobs.

What this means for your business

You don't need to be a big company to get this working. Whether you're a roofer, builder, landscaper or any local service business, the same approach applies: a fast, local website built to win enquiries, backed up by ads or SEO that put it in front of the right people. If your current website isn't bringing in work, it's worth finding out why. See our web design in King's Lynn and Meta ads services, or book a free website audit.

Frequently asked questions

Can a website really bring in jobs for a trade business?

Yes, when it's built for it. A fast, mobile-friendly site that shows real work, appears in local searches and makes it easy to get in touch turns visitors into enquiries. FH Roofing's website brings in jobs alongside his ads.

Do I need ads as well as a website?

Not always. Ads bring people in quickly, while SEO and your Google Business Profile build steady enquiries over time. Many businesses use both: the website is the foundation that makes either work.

Do you film the content for the ads?

Yes. We film on site, including drone footage where it suits the job, and edit it into ads built around your real work.

Do you only work with roofers?

No. We work with trades and local businesses of all kinds across King's Lynn, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. See our work page for examples.
